Taylor Tatum, Death, Obituary; It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Taylor Tatum of Greenville, South Carolina, who departed this life on August 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Taylor’s journey was one marked by extraordinary faith, unwavering love for her family, and a life of selfless service to others.

Taylor devoted many years of her life to teaching, shaping young minds and hearts with patience, compassion, and a joy that made her classrooms feel like home. She had a special way of seeing the potential in each child and instilling in them the belief that they could accomplish anything. Her legacy as an educator will live on in the countless students she inspired throughout her career.

In 2017, Taylor married the love of her life, Zach Tatum. Together they shared a marriage rooted in faith, laughter, and resilience. Their love grew even deeper when they learned they were expecting their first child, a baby boy, in early 2018. Their joy, however, came with great challenges when, midway through the pregnancy, their son Landon was diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and Congenital Heart Defect (CDH + CHD).

From the moment Landon was born, Taylor and Zach’s world became a testimony of perseverance and faith. Landon spent 323 consecutive days in the hospital, enduring more than 13 surgeries and countless procedures. Despite the hardships, Taylor remained steadfast — a constant source of hope, strength, and tender love for her son. When Landon finally came home 10 days before his first birthday, it was Taylor’s unwavering faith and fierce devotion as a mother that carried their family through.

Today, Landon is 4 years old  a living miracle who continues to defy the odds. His resilience is a direct reflection of the love and sacrifice his parents poured into him. Those who have witnessed Zach and Taylor’s journey have seen a family strengthened by faith, courage, and a steadfast trust in the Lord.

Taylor’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, faith, and service. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, a selfless mother, a passionate teacher, and a woman of unshakable faith. To her family and friends, she was a beacon of encouragement, a gentle soul who reminded everyone around her of the power of hope even in the face of life’s most difficult trials.
