COLUMBUS, Ga. — The Columbus community is grieving after the tragic death of 17-year-old Victor Hinton, who was fatally shot Friday afternoon at the Virginia Arms apartments on the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Columbus police confirmed that officers responded to the scene shortly after the shooting was reported. Hinton was found suffering from gunshot wounds and, despite life-saving efforts, was pronounced dead.
